Personal Angels

The story of the angels is similar to the story of fairly tales. The first one was created as a birthday gift for my friend, another one for my mother, and more orders followed, which resulted in an impressive collection of 120 angels, or rather 120 paintings because there were whole groups of angels on some of them.

The angel phase continued for three, maybe four years. It was a very interesting time. People came with their stories, I painted angels with the intention they asked for, some came back to tell me what gift they had received from their angel.

Life goes on, I don’t paint angels anymore, but I have really nice memories of that time when so many people and their winged guardians were my guests.
